Title:
MATERIAL PREPARED BY COMBINING PARTICLES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5917158
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a material formed by combining particles not causing blocking even when liquid from organism or the like is passed through this material for analysis, by chemically combining organic polymer particles with each other at each contact position, and forming connected gaps capable of passing macromolecules in the particle combined material nonswellable by the liquid and impermeable to it.

CONSTITUTION: Spherical particles having 1W350μm particle diameter and reactive groups, made of a terpolymer of styrene, n-butyl methacrylate, and glycidyl methacrylate are prepared by the suspension polymn. method or the like. These particles are dispersed into a buffer soln. contg. a nonionic surfactant, and a support film is coated with said dispersion contg. e.g., serum albumin, and dried to combine said particles with the albumin at the contact part of each particle and to form a detection layer. On the other hand, antibodies or the like are adsorbed to a like copolymer, and a particle combined layer is likewise prepared, and it is formed on said detection layer as a covering layer. The laminate is peeled from the support film, thus obtaining an analytical element. It is not blocked with blood corpuscles even if it is directly immersed in a blood sample, and passes large object component to be analyzed contained, e.g., in a blood sample through said laminate membrane, thus enhancing analytical accuracy.
