PURPOSE: To improve the whiteness of image receiving paper, the curl thereof after recording and the surface gloss and rough feel of a recorded image by forming a specific dye receiving layer to one surface of plain paper.
CONSTITUTION: A film 1 is bonded to one surface of plain paper and a synthetic paper or protective film 4 is bonded to the other surface thereof to form laminated paper and a dye receiving layer 2 cured by active energy rays is formed to the film of said laminated paper. The dye receiving layer 2 may be provided with an easy adhesion layer 6 in order to enhance the adhesion of the dye receiving layer 2 to the film and an antistatic layer 2 may be formed in order to prevent the charging of a material to be recorded. By this method, the material to be recorded of a sublimation type thermal transfer recording system having a substrate high in whiteness, generation no rough feel of image quality, excellent in gloss after recording and reduced in curl after recording can be obtained.
