Abstract:
To provide a matrix optical switch for preventing the occurrence of cross talk due to a stray beam.
This optical switch is a four rows four columns matrix optical switch having four input ports 201-204 and eight output ports 221-228, and a pair of light shielding plates 265-2612 are oppositely arranged so as to surround respective ports. These light shielding plates 265-2612 are constituted of light absorption material, and a surface is formed to a rugged surface by sanding and etching, etc.
