Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000356529
Kind Code:

Abstract:

To provide a display of cumulative distance information which appeals to a human sensitivity by letting a user register an optional point or the like, and displaying, e.g. the number of reciprocations having a basic unit of a distance based on the registered point or the like.

Expressing a concept of a distance phenomenally is carried out, e.g. with the use of a cumulative distance data (a) obtained by counting up the mileage of a bicycle or the like, an optional title saying such as 'between Tokyo and Osaka', 'reciprocated' or the like inputted from an external input device 4 such as a personal computer or the like to a title display panel or the like, and a unit distance information (b) corresponding to the saying. A division function part 6 carries out a division 1 of calculating the cumulative distance data (a)/unit distance information (b). The obtained value is further divided into half by a half division function part 7, whereby a/2b which is the distance converted into a reciprocation amount is obtained. The converted value is displayed to a predetermined display part. An arrangement using the converted value as a cumulative number of steps of a pedometer, the cumulative communication distance of a communication medium such as a telephone, as amateur radio or the like may be constituted.
