Abstract:

To obtain a new primer for highly sensitive and accurate detection of hepatitis C virus(HCV), etc., useful for measurement of HCV gene by a rear time detection PCR method, etc., consisting of an oligonucleotide having a specific base sequence.

The primer is a new forward-side primer as an oligonucleotide having the base sequence consisting of consecutive 15-40 bases of the base sequence expressed by formula I, to be used for measurement of hepatitis C virus(HCV) gene by a real time detection PCR method and a new reverse-side primer as a second oligonucleotide having the base sequence consisting of consecutive 15-40 bases of the base sequence expressed by formula II to be used for measurement of HCV gene by a real time detection PCR method, and can measure HCV in a highly sensitive, accurate and easy way. This primer is obtained by chemically synthesizing forward-side and reverse-side DNAs of the base sequence of HCV genome.
