Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a measuring apparatus by which the dimensions of a room are measured in a short time and precisely without a need of experience and skill by installing a storage means in which angle data and length data are stored when a beam of light reradiated by a response device in a rotary base is received.
SOLUTION: A first encoder 11 is provided with a gear engaged with a gear at a base, and it generates two-phase pulses whenever it is turned at a definite angle. A second encoder 13 is provided with a linear body, and it generates two-phase pulses whenenver the linear body is moved at a definite distance when it is pulled out or retracted. A probe which is provided with a response device is coupled to the tip of the linear body, and precise angle data is obtained. A signal processing circuit is provided with a CPU 31 which controls an apparatus as a whole and with first and second up-down counters 36, 37 which count the two-phase pulses generated from the first and second encoders 11, 13. In addition, a PID 32 controls a motor 14 when counted values of the two counters 36, 37 and the output of an optical sensor 16 are input to the CPU 31. In addition, a processing program is stored in a ROM 32, and data is stored temporarily in a RAM 34.
