Abstract:

PURPOSE: To measure heat conductivity of fluid and enable in-line measurement on a production site by providing a heat generating sensor which has heat generating function and can measure its own temperature and making a slit holding body with an external face of the sensor and fluid staying in the slit replaceable.
CONSTITUTION: A heat generating sensor 2 is made to protrude inside a liquid reservoir 1 filled with fluid (f) to be measured. A base end 3 of the sensor 2 is out of the reservoir 1 and a lead wire 4 for measuring four terminals is connected to it. A cylindrical slit holding body 11 is provided to cover the sensor 2 with a constant slit around the sensor 2. A lower end of a rod 14 which moves up and down by a driver 13 is connected to a support 12 of the holding body 11, wherein when the holding body 11 moves down, a periphery of the sensor 2 is opened to have the fluid (f) flowed and replaced. Voltage is applied from the lead wire 4, the sensor 2 is used to measure a temperature of the fluid (f) in the holding body 12 and a temperature of the sensor 2 itself after heat generation, difference in their temperature is calculated, and heat conductivity of the fluid (f) is obtained from a predetermined relation. When a slit between the holding body 11 and the sensor 2 is wide, heat conductivity is calculated by a non-steady method.
