To provide a measuring apparatus in which a measuring unit transmits measurement data to a main body by radio and which can give an operation command even without a control part or a display part on the side of the measuring unit.
In a measuring apparatus, a measuring unit 2 for measuring measurement data and a main body 1 respectively have a radio communication part so that an operation command for instructing the content of an operation of the measuring unit 2 can be transmitted from the main body 1 to the measuring unit 2 by radio, and the measurement data can be transmitted from the measuring unit 2 to the main body 1 by radio. In the measuring apparatus: the measuring unit 2 has a microphone 41 or a connector 42 to which an external microphone 50 can be connected, and can transmit a voice signal input by the microphone 41, etc. to the main body 1 by radio; and the main body 1 includes a voice recognition part for recognizing the content of the voice signal and converting the signal into alphabetical information, and an operation command part for determining an operation command to the measuring unit 2 on the basis of the alphabetical information recognized by the voice recognition part.
