PURPOSE: To know the calorie consumption of exercise such as jogging and perform correct health control by combining a stopwatch with a pedometer, and inputting and storing data on user's individual difference.

CONSTITUTION: The data on individual difference is stored in an individual difference data storage means 10 previously. Then, the measurement of an elapsed time measuring means 7 is started and a pace detection indication is set automatically at a set period. This pace detecting operation is carried out automatically and periodically; to store pace data in a pace data storage means 9 successively. A speed arithmetic means 11 averages the pace data to calculate the mean pace, which is multiplied by stride data to calculate speed data. Then, a calorie consumption arithmetic means 13 calculates calorie consumption from a constant selected by an arithmetic constant selecting means 12, the speed data, and individual difference data and elapsed time data, and the calorie consumption data and elapsed time data are displayed on a display device 15.
