To provide a measuring method for shotpeening intensity which easily makes measurement without using an expensive and complicated measuring apparatus.

The method has processes for: measuring full length of horizontal line in the longitudinal direction of almen strip before performing shotpeening processing; projecting a projection material on the almen strip surface and performing the shotpeening processing in a state of tightening the almen strip to a fixture; removing the bent almen strip released from tightening after performing shotpeening processing; and measuring the horizontal line full length of the almen strip after processing of the removed shotpeening in the longitudinal direction, and obtaining the difference in the almen strip before the shotpeening processing from the horizontal line full length in the longitudinal direction.
