Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the reliable and sure media detecting operation by a media detecting mechanism in such a manner that the insertion of the media is detected beforehand by a media-in detecting means.
SOLUTION: This mechanism is constituted so as to detect by the media-in detecting means 101 that the media are inserted, to detect by an MD cartridge detecting means 102 that the media are MD cartridge M, to detect by a compact disk detecting means 103 that the media are compact disk, to detect by a large diameter compact disk detecting means 104 that the compact disk is large diameter compact disk C, and to detect by a small diameter compact disk detecting means 105 that the compact disk is small diameter compact disk C1.
