Abstract:
To provide a medium processing device that prevents liquid from evaporating from a liquid-applying member.SOLUTION: The medium processing device includes: a liquid applying section which applies liquid to media; and a crimping section which pressurizes and deforms a plurality of media supplied with liquid by the liquid applying section and binds them. The liquid applying section includes: a liquid storage part which accommodates the liquid; a liquid applying member which includes liquid supplied from the liquid storage part; a cover member which stores the liquid applying member, and has an opening at its lower end; and a lid which can be moved to a blocking position to block the opening and to a retracted position to retract from the opening. The liquid applying member applies liquid to the medium by contacting the medium through the opening when the lid is in the retracted position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
