Abstract:
To provide a media processor that can improve binding strength and increase the number of sheets that can be bound compared with conventional processors.SOLUTION: The media processor includes: needle-binding means for binding a part of a media bundle by penetrating a needle-shaped member into a part of the media bundle; liquid-applying means for applying liquid to a liquid-applying area in the media bundle; and a control unit for controlling the needle-binding operation by the needle-binding means and the liquid-applying means. In the needle-binding operation, after the liquid-applying means applies liquid to the liquid-applying area, the needle-binding means penetrates the needle-shaped member into the liquid-applying area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
