To provide a medical diagnosis support system which presents accurate medical treatments suitable for symptoms of a patient to a user and reduces time required for deciding the medical treatment.
The medical diagnosis support system includes a database and a terminal device accessible to the database. The database is equipped with a storage part for storing patient data including numerical value data showing characteristics of diseases of patients having treated in the past and information on the medical treatments on every disease. The terminal device is equipped with: an input part for inputting information on the patient subjected to treatment; a calculating part for calculating the image characteristic amount showing the characteristics of the disease based on the image of a diseased area of the patient subjected to treatment; a search part which searches the patient data stored in the storage part based on the numerical value data of the calculated image characteristic amount, and extracts the patient data having a high degree of similarity with respect to the disease which is the same as the subject for treatment; and a display part for displaying similar cases of the medical treatment for every disease based on the patient data extracted by the search part.
