To provide a medical image diagnostic apparatus for reducing frequency to scan a subject in an inappropriate body position, which is excellent in ensuring security of the subject.
An X-ray computed tomography (CT) device 1 as the medical image diagnostic apparatus includes: a body-position recognition part 13 which recognizes the body position of the subject P on a top panel 5 transferred to a scan position as a present body position; a body-position determination part 22 which determines whether a planned body position, as the body position of the subject P determined by scan planning, corresponds with the present body position; a display device 19, when this body-position determination part 22 determines that the present body position is in disagreement with the planned body position, for displaying accordingly to a user; and a scan control part 20 which controls so that the scan is executed over the subject P on the top panel 5 when it is determined that the present body position corresponds with the planned body position.
