To provide a medical image diagnostic apparatus which prevents positional deviation of a mark due to the movement of the apparatus in image pickup, and achieves easy marking and prevention of unnecessary radiation exposure.
The medical image diagnostic apparatus 1 includes: an image pickup section 3 which moves to an image pickup position by relative movement with a top plate 2a, irradiates a subject P on the top plate 2a with X ray and detects the X ray that has transmitted through the subject P; an image generating section 6a which generates a perspective image of the subject P on the basis of the X ray detected by the image pickup section 3; a display section 5 which causes a screen 5a to display the perspective image generated by the image generating section 6a; and a detecting section 5b which detects an input position for the screen 5a. The image generating section 6a generates a mark image in accordance with the input position, detected by the detecting section 5b, for the screen 5a and stores the mark image, stores the position of the mark image on the screen 5a as the position on the top plate 2a. The display section 5 causes the screen 5a to display the mark image so as to be superimposed on the perspective image on the basis of the position of the top plate 2a stored by the image generating section 6a.
