Abstract:
PURPOSE: To achieve an adjustment of a flow rate of an oxygen gas in the inhaling of oxygen based on a value of the concentration of oxygen in arterial blood by measuring the concentration continuously.
CONSTITUTION: The saturation of oxygen in arterial blood (SaO2) of a patient is measured with a pulse oximeter 18 to allow the control of increase or decrease in the flow rate of an oxygen gas to be supplied from an oxygen supplier 10 automatically to a desired value with a flow rate controller 12 depending on the results thereof.
