Title:
MEDIUM CONTRAST IMAGE RECORDING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5685741
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To change the light passage area of an electro-optic element and record the medium contrast image by the transmitted light thereof by using the electro- optic element disposed with plural transparent electrodes and controlling the voltage application to the transparent electrodes according to image information.

CONSTITUTION: An electro-optic element 1 is disposed with respectively a plurality of transparent electrodes 12 in a matrix shape of, for example, 7×7 constitution, on the top and under surfaces of a medium 11 having electro-optic effect, and the respective transparent electrodes 12 on the top surface are electrically connected to themselves so as to parallel to a diagonal line Z1-Z1. With such constitution, the area of the part through which light passes may be properly changed by controlling the voltage application between the transparent electrodes 12 according to the density levels of the image. Hence, varying densities may be expressed by the varying sizes of dots and the medium contrast image is recorded without using any contact screen.
