Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a melamine derivative crosslinking agent used in a crosslinking coating compsn. having a superior weatherability which can be used in an one-pack system, its preparation, a processing process with using it, and a coating compsn. contg. it.
CONSTITUTION: A melamine derivative crosslinking agent (a) having a carboxylic acid substituent on an amine nitrogen bonded to a triazine ring is disclosed. A preparation of (a) is also disclosed wherein an alkoxylated melamine is mixed with a mercaptocarboxylic acid (b). A crosslinking processing polymer by reacting (a) with a polymer or a prepolymer having at least one epoxy group is also disclosed (c). A coating compsn. contg. (a) and a polyepoxide is also disclosed (d).
