Title:
MEMBRANE SEPARATION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3144930
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a membrane separation device which can inhibit the blocking of a membrane efficiently and reduce a cleaning water discharge amount by decomposing an organic colloid attaching to a membrane surface by photooxidation and sterilizing the membrane surface constantly to eliminate the generation of microbial slime.
CONSTITUTION: An ultraviolet beam lamp 4 accommodated in an ultraviolet beam transmission tube is installed in the membrane element 1 of a tubular membrane module, in a membrane separation device consisting of a housing in which the tubular membrane module is stored. The surface of the unfiltered liquid side of a membrane element 1 is always irradiates with an ultraviolet beam from the ultraviolet beam lamp 4. Therefore, an attached substance such as an organic colloid on the membrane surface is removed by decomposition continuously under a photooxidation decomposition effect and at the same time, microbes are removed by sterilization. Consequently, it is possible to inhibit the blocking of the membrane and perform membrane separation efficiently with minimized cleaning/reverse cleaning frequency and also minimized cleaning water discharge amount.
