Abstract:

To provide a novel metallocene complex and to provide a polymerization catalyst composition containing the same.

The polymerization catalyst composition comprises a complex represented by formula (A) and an ionic compound comprising a non-coordinating anion and a cation. In formula A, Xs are any of group 14 and group 15 atoms except lead (at least one X is other than a carbon atom); R1s are each a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, aryl, or aralkyl group, or a substituted metalloid group, provided that R1s adjoining to each other may be combined together to form a linking group; a is 0 or 1; M is any one of the group 3 metal atoms and the lanthanoid metal atoms; Q1 and Q2 are each a monoanionic ligand; L is a neutral Lewis base; and w is an integer of 0-3.
