Abstract:
To obtain a colored polymer material having broad coloring range of high polymer, producible by a simple method without using high-temperature treatment after the polymerization and having excellent light resistance.
The process for the production of a metal-containing polymer emulsion homogeneously containing a transition metal or a metal compound containing a transition metal element such as Sc, Ti and V in a polymer comprises the addition of a metal compound forming a metal complex or a metal ion to an aqueous medium containing a surfactant and the emulsion polymerization of a monomer in the aqueous medium. The medium in the obtained emulsion is removed to obtain the objective colored high polymer.
