Abstract:
To provide a metal rod having a connection structure of a first metal rod and a second metal rod which can stably give high strength to the connection portion.
A thin-walled metal sleeve 32 is externally inserted into an end in the axial direction of the second metal rod 20, and the end in the axial direction of the second metal rod 20 is externally inserted into an end in the axial direction of the first metal rod 18 having grooves 30, 30, 30 in the circumferential direction. By caulking the metal sleeve 32, the second metal rod 20 and the metal sleeve 32 are plastically deformed in a closely tightened state to each other, and fitted and fixed to circumferential grooves 30, 30, 30 of the first metal rod 18.
