To provide a metal structure image observing apparatus capable of simply observing a metal macrostructure as a low-magnification projected image, which is formed on the surface of a metal sample, and capable of easily observing the metal composition of the whole surface, even when the metal sample is large-sized.
The metal structure image observing apparatus comprises a table 2 on which the metal sample W is mounted; an illuminating means which are arranged in at least three directions thereof and which irradiate the metal sample W from obliquely upward positions; a low-magnification camera 7, which is arranged above the table and photographs the metal composition of the surface of the metal sample W at a low magnification; a reflecting plate 12 that covers the perimeter of the camera 7; and a display/memory device 9 for the photographed image.
