To provide a highly-accurate slope monitoring device for vehicle capable of suppressing malfunction caused by a temperature change by using an acceleration sensor.
A control device 3 performs slope determination based on outputs from a slope angle detection device 1 and a temperature detection device 2. The control device has a compared value storage part 11 for storing the output from both detection devices at the same point of time as an acceleration sensor output reference value and a temperature sensor output reference value, a slope determination part 14 for determining that slope exists when a difference between the output from the slope angle detection device and the acceleration sensor output reference value is larger than a threshold, and a reference value setting part 12 for updating both output reference values. In the case where a temperature change occurs, the reference value setting part updates the output reference value as a difference based on a temperature change when the difference is smaller than a variation estimated from a temperature variation, and updates the output reference value based on an estimated variation when the temperature change is superimposed on a change caused by slope when the difference is larger than the estimated variation.
