PURPOSE: To make it possible to produce meter plates which have, even when thin, excellent dimensional stability and beautiful surface appearance, by molding the meter plates from an aromatic polyester copolymer comprising an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and a dihydric phenol.

CONSTITUTION: Meter plates such as clock dials, panel cover, speedometer dials and meter panels of household electric appliances are molded from a composition containing an aromatic polyester copolymer comprising an aromatic dicarboxylic acid or a derivative thereof and a dihydric phenol or a derivative thereof. In said composition, polymers which are preferably used in combination with said aromatic polyester include polyamides, particularly nylon 6, polyalkylenephenylene esters, particularly polyethylene terephthalate, and mixtures of a polyamide and a polyalkylene-phenylene ester, particularly a mixture of nylon 6 and polyethylene terephthalate.
