PURPOSE: To collect cotton-like relatively short fibers obtained by centrifugal spinning, in high efficiency, by manufacturing a fiber group by centrifugal spinning, and taking the group out of the system in the form of a tow wherein the constituent fibers are arranged almost parallel to the length of the tow.
CONSTITUTION: The fibers spun by the perforated cup 1 are collected by the air- permeable lattice wall 6 attached to the outside of the end of the path 5 between the guide plates 3, 4. The transfer air stream is blasted from the port 2 horizontally outward, and the fibers collected by the wall 6 are dropped, cut with the cutter 7, accumulated on the rotary plate 9, guided by the guide plate 10 to the discharge port 11, and taken out of the system continuously in the form of two.
