To provide a method and apparatus for controlling ink supply in the inking arrangement of a printing press, constituted so as to apply ink to the printing plate being in contact with a form roller through a predetermined number of ink rollers forming a roller row in a mutual contact state and one form roller or one or more form rollers and to further develop this method and apparatus to prevent the excessive adhesion of ink in a case raised in the number of rotations.
The roller row is divided at least at one place at least temporarily during a stage for increasing a printing speed. As the apparatus corresponding to this, a signal transmitting a printing speed can be supplied to a control part 21. At the time of increase of a printing speed, the control part 21 operates setting means 19 and 20 to form dividing places 17 and 18 in the roller row.
