To provide a method for forming a fiber body, hardly causing occurrence of curls and wrinkles of the fiber body.SOLUTION: A method for forming a fiber body comprises a step of applying a water-soluble resin to a first raw material containing fibers, a step of defibrating the first raw material with the water-soluble resin applied so as to form a defibrated product, a step of accumulating the defibrated product, and a step of applying water to the accumulated defibrated product.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
