PURPOSE: To provide a method and apparatus for grinding, especially, pulverizing a plastic or a plastic-containing material, compsn. or mixture.
CONSTITUTION: Plastic parts can be especially economically ground in order to reutilize a material and the material is supplied to an apparatus forming a roller gap part 3 by two rollers 1, 2 and the roller gap part is equipped with at least two roller gap sections 7 or 8, 9 different in gap width. These rollers 1, 2 are operated at different peripheral speeds and a shearing speed of 0.001-100,000 sec-1 is kept in the roller gap section 7 or 8 having the min. gap width and, at first, a plastic material to be ground is supplied to the roller gap section 9 having the max. gap width to be passed therethrough and subsequently supplied to the roller gap section 7 or 8 having next smaller gap width and further treated up to a ground material with the min. density of 0.005 g/cm3.
