Abstract:
PURPOSE: To vary the printing density even for an optional printing medium and carry out the multi-color printing of high quality by applying an ink precursor from a first jet nozzle onto a printing medium and then applying a complimentary ink from a second nozzle onto the above applying position.
CONSTITUTION: When the ink jet printing is carried out, first an ink precursor is applied from a first jet nozzle onto a printing medium, and the printing medium is adjusted on the applied sections. Then a complimentary ink is applied from a second jet nozzle onto a position whereon the ink precursor is applied onto the printing medium. For example, a hot ink jet printer 20 is provided with respective cartridges or respective print heads 18, 16, 14 and 12 for feeding respective coloring materials of cyanogen C, magenta M, yellow Y and black B. In the above constitution, a colorless component of the ink precursor A composed of two components is applied on the positions, whereon respective coloring materials C, M, Y and B in a recording medium 13 are fed, by one spare cartridge 20.
