Title:
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MEASURING ATTENUATION FORCE OF SHOCK ABSORBER MOUNTED ON VEHICLE BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3228490
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a method for measuring the attenuation force of a shock absorber mounted on vehicle body and an apparatus for measuring the force in which the force of each absorber mounted on the body can be effectively measured while maintaining its mounting state.
CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for measuring the attenuation force of a shock absorber mounted on vehicle body comprises an exciter 4 for applying a vertical exciting force to a body 2 above each shock absorbers 3 and suspension springs 1 to be measured, an acceleration detector 5, a load detector 6, and a displacement operating means 7 for integrating the acceleration and integrating the integrated value to operate the vertical displacement of the body. Further, the apparatus comprises a spring reaction force operating means 8 for multiplying the displacement by the spring constant of the spring 1 to operate the spring reaction force of the spring 1, and an attenuation force operating means 9 for subtracting the spring reaction force operated by the spring reaction force operating means 8 from a transmitted load to operate the attenuation force of the absorber 3 to be measured.
