Abstract:
PURPOSE: To accurately detect a three-dimensional position without generating a virtual image by a single camera even if number of characteristic points is little.
CONSTITUTION: A mirror member 4 is so arranged that characteristic points P1, P2, P3 of at least one of works 2 can be photographed in the vicinity of the works of objects to be detected at its position at known positional relationship to a camera 3 and the photographed points can be photographed by the camera 3. An image processor 7 is connected to the camera 3, the points photographed directly or via the member 4 by the camera 3 are image-processed by the processor 7, and a three-dimensional position of the work 2 is calculated. Control means 9 receives an output from the processor 7, and regulates a direction of the member 4.
