PURPOSE: To carry out electric network test by measuring an electrostatic capacitance and an electric charge value as electric characteristic during the generation of a movement by a mutual movement between a probe means and the surface of a substrate to perform a continuous movement test of a test probe.
CONSTITUTION: An input entering a control processor 32 from a circuit board feature data base 34 provides the position of a node on a printed circuit board PWB being tested. Each of three control shafts of a three-axis movement system 36 contains a position encoder which generates specified several pulses each time a moving value increases. The encoder makes a movement controller 38 determine the direction, the speed and the relative position of each of related shafts. Each measuring point controller 40 receives a position encoder from the controller 38 to control the corresponding shaft so that the measuring point controller 40 can continuously monitor the position of a probe. A trigger pulse generated by the controller 40 is applied to an electric charge value measuring circuit 42 and the circuit 42 converts an analog measured value to a digital value from the PWB.
