Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent packing cycle time of a process for doubly winding an outer peripheral iron plate from exceeding facility specifications of an automatic packing line.
SOLUTION: An apparatus for packing a steel band coil comprises a mounting means for rolling and mounting an outer peripheral cut iron plate around an intermediate package 19 of the steel band coil, an iron plate transfer means 5 for transferring the outer peripheral cut iron plate to the intermediate package, a dispensing reel 3 for dispensing an outer peripheral iron plate coil 2 to the iron plate transfer means and a shear 4 for cutting the dispensed band- like outer peripheral iron plate into the outer peripheral cut iron plate. In this case a cut plate lift means 1 for horizontally hanging up and down the outer peripheral cut iron plate is provided between the shear and the intermediate package, wherein after two outer peripheral cut iron plates are overlaid, these overlaid cut iron plates are wound around an outer periphery of the intermediate package.
