Abstract:
PURPOSE: To manufacture pants-like clothing to absorb a secretion, by supplying an outer cover, a liquid permeable liner, and an absorptive medium, combining an extensible side panel to a side edge part of an absorptive assembly, attaching an extensible side member, and relaxing the extensible member. CONSTITUTION: A feed roll 140 supplies an outer cover 90 to a feed drum 142, attaches a waist elastic bands 42, 44, a conveyor assembly 144 positions an absorptive medium 92 and a feed roll 146 continuously feeds a body side liner 88. A folding bar 148 folds the outer cover 90 to form a baffle 106. Feed rolls 150, 152 feeds elastic side panels 6, 8 which are bonded at a bonding station 154. A leg part cut out station 162 cuts side panels 6, 8 to form a leg part openings 12, 14. A cutting station 164 cuts the combined material which is folded by a tacker bar 166.
