PURPOSE: To carry out effectively and economically the above-mentioned prevention for scale, by feeding a Na salt and the combustion gas containing CO2 gas to the reaction tank accommodating seawater, separating generated CaCO3 and then feeding the unsaturated seawater to the multiple-effect water-preparing apparatus after the operation for removing carbonates.
CONSTITUTION: The electrolytic NaOH is fed to the reaction tank 15 accommodating the seawater 14 through the duct 16 and is agitated by bubbling with a part 17 of the flue gas. Ca2+ in the seawater 14 is fixed as CaCO3. The operation is performed at pH above 8.0. The generated particles are separated at separated 18 and the clear seawater 19 is sent into the anode chamber 21 of the diaphragm electrolytic cell 20. In the cathode chamber, the solution of NaOH is generated and H2 occurs. From the cathode chamber, Cl2 occurs but a part of it is absorbed to the liquid and changes to HCl and NaClO. HCl is used for the decomposition of the carbonate existing in excess at the fixing tank for Ca and NaClO is used for decomposing the organic pollutant. The seawater which has left and electrolytic cell, is decarbonated and degassed at the degassing apparatus 23, becomes seawater of pH of 4.5W5.0 and is sent to the water-preparing apparatus as the supply seawater 24.
