Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a ceramic green sheet uniform in thickness.
SOLUTION: A ceramic slurry 2 is supplied to a slurry chamber provided in a slurry coater 5 and a carrier film is brought into contact with the peripheral edge of the opening of the slurry chamber to close the opening and, in this state, the carrier film is moved along the opening to mold the ceramic green sheet 4 composed of the slurry 2 on the carrier film. At this time, the proper flow rate data 25 related to the proper flow rate of the slurry to be supplied in order to obtain the green sheet having a desired thickness is calculated on the basis of the present flow rate data 23 related to the present flow rate of the slurry 2 measured by a flowmeter 21 and the present thickness data 24 related to the present thickness of the green sheet 4 measured by a film thickness meter 22 by a proper flow rate operation means 26 and, on the basis of this calculated data, the flow rate of the slurry 2 is controlled by a flow rate control means 27.
