Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for regeneration and evaluation of an ion exchange resin that can easily regenerate the ion exchange resin and can easily evaluate the ion exchange performance of the regenerated ion exchange resin.SOLUTION: A method for regeneration and evaluation of an ion exchange resin 12 regenerates the ion exchange resin 12 used in an ion exchange device and evaluates the ion exchange performance of the regenerated ion exchange resin 12a. Namely, an anion exchange resin 15 collected from the ion exchange device is regenerated by a sodium hydroxide aqueous solution, and the anion exchange resin 15 is mixed with a cation exchange resin 16 to be regenerated by a sulfuric acid aqueous solution. A sodium sulfate aqueous solution passes through the regenerated ion exchange resin 12a in which the obtained regenerated anion exchange resin 15a and the regenerated cation exchange resin 16a are mixed, and the electrical conductivity and sulfate ion concentration of the aqueous solution after passing therethrough are measured to calculate a mass transfer coefficient (MTC).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
