Abstract:
PURPOSE: To remove heparin from blood or blood plasma without substantially removing blood clot factors by allowing a porous medium having a positively charged surface to come into contact with blood or blood plasma. CONSTITUTION: A porous medium which is constituted of a supporting body and an upper layer and has a positively charged surface is constituted of polybutylene terephthalate matrixes provided with a polymer derived from trimethylammoniumethylacrylic acid chloride on the surface. Trimethylammoniumethylacrylic acid chloride is grafted to polybuthylene terephthalate fiber matrixes. The porous medium is constituted of the polybuthylene terephthalate matrixes provided with the polymer derived from diethylaminoethyl methacrylate on the surface. Diethylaminoethyl methacrylate is grafted to polybuthylene terephthalate fiber matrixes.
