Abstract:

PURPOSE:To provide an assembling method for an optical module with a pig tail used for an optical communication system. CONSTITUTION:In the case of assembling a mold package optical module, a light emitting element or a light receiving element is molded together with a substrate to manufacture a mold package 13 having a holder 12, an adaptor 15 connected to one end of an optical fiber pig tail 14 is inserted into the holder 12 and the pig tail 14 is centered and connected to the light emitting element or the light receiving element to assemble the optical module 16 with the pick tail 14.
