The method for assembling a reflective liquid crystal display device equipped with a liquid crystal panel 19, a light shielding plate 34 and a base member 18 is characterized in that: the base member 18 is attached to the liquid crystal panel 19 by combining a first tool 9 holding the base member 18 with a second tool 21 holding the liquid crystal panel 19; and the light shielding plate 34 is attached to the base member 18 to which the liquid crystal panel 19 is attached by combining the first tool holding the base member 18 to which the liquid crystal panel 19 attached, with a third tool 37 holding the light shielding plate 34.
