To provide a method for grinding the back face of a sleeve for belt processing which can be used to grind for leveling the thickness of a belt sleeve uniformly when the center portion in a driving roll used to suspend the belt sleeve in a device for the belt grinding is deflected.

This method for the belt grinding is made to grind the belt sleeve by crossing either the axis 3 of the driving roll or the moving axis 5 of a grinding grind-stone by means of tilting in order not to happen to access with each other.
