Abstract:
PURPOSE:To solve a conventional problem point where a new work is clamped and processed again from the beginning at a time point when a stroke end-over is produced, by checking quickly the stroke end-over of a 3-dimensional protter based on the NC data without actuating the protter for a processing action. CONSTITUTION:The processing start positions of control shafts X-Z of a protter 20 are supplied as the present positions XGEN-ZGEN. Then the NC data equivalent to a block is supplied from an automatic programming device 10 via an interface 22 and a buffer 23. The shift amounts DELTAX-DELTAZ of shafts X-Z in said single block are added to the positions XGEN-ZGEN. The result of this arithmetic is set as the new position of each shaft. Then it is checked whether or not those positions XGEN-ZGEN exceed each stroke end.
