Abstract:

To provide a method for stably cleaning a hydrogen sulfide-containing gas for a long period as a method for cleaning the hydrogen sulfide-containing gas with an aqueous solution of an alkanolamine, by removing the impurity components adversely affecting the material of a gas cleaner without suspending the operation of the cleaner.

The aqueous solution of the alkanolamine used in cleaning the hydrogen sulfide-containing gas is contact-treated with an anion-exchange resin and then used in the above cleaning.
