Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for collecting metal, capable of efficiently collecting higher purity metal from a noble metal plated product.SOLUTION: The method for collecting metal, capable of collecting metal from a noble metal plated product having a base metal layer and noble metal layer including noble metal plated on the surface of a base material includes the steps of: applying scratches to the noble metal plated product; immersing the noble metal plated product having the applied scratches in a treatment solution including ferric chloride to dissolve the base metal; separating the treated noble metal plated product and the treated solution; and sorting the treated solution into filter cake including the noble metal and a dissolved solution having the dissolved base metal by filtration.SELECTED DRAWING: None
