To provide a method of connecting a hose to a pipe while avoiding the residence of granular material in a connection portion, in such a manner as to quickly and easily detach the hose from the pipe without using a tool when utilizing gravity in a granular material transfer method.

In the method of connecting the granular material transfer hose to the granular material transfer pipe, the granular material transfer hose which has an elastic ring portion at one end of a flexible hose is connected to the granular material transfer pipe which has an annular recessed portion at one end of the inside face of a rigid pipe by fitting and locking the elastic ring portion of the transfer hose to the annular recessed portion of the transfer pipe. The granular material transfer pipe which has the annular recessed portion at one end of the inside face of the rigid pipe is used in the connection method. The granular material transfer hose which has the elastic ring portion at one end of the flexible hose is used in the connection method.
