Title:
METHOD FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING STEEL HAVING LARGE SHRINKAGE QUANTITY IN SOLIDIFIED PROCESS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3256148
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous casting method of steel for obtaining a non- defect cast slab excellent in a surface characteristics, in a continuous casting, e.g. medium carbon steel, SUS420 and SUS304.
SOLUTION: In the continuous casting method of a steel having large shrinkage quantity in a solidified process, at the time of casting at the high casting velocity (V) of ≥1.6m/min, the casting is executed under condition, in which the solidified temp. of mold flux added into a mold is in the range of 1100-1300°C and the relation between the viscosity (η) and the casting velocity (V) is in the range satisfying the inequality η×V≤4. Wherein, η is viscosity (poise at 1300°C) and V is casting velocity (m/min).
