Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make it possible to facilitate escape from a stuck-up condition, by setting, during limited differential operation, a speed stage higher than a first speed stage when a drive range is selected, or a first speed stage when the other drive range is selected. CONSTITUTION:The output shaft of an engine 1 is coupled thereto with an automatic transmission 3 through a torque converter 2. The output shaft 4 of the transmission 3 is coupled to a center differential gear 5. A wet-type multi-disc clutch 17 for limiting the differential operation is disposed between the casing 7 of the center differential gear unit 5 and a front differential gear unit 12 coupled with one side gear 8. Further, the engaging force of the wet-type multi-disc clutch 17 is controlled by a hydraulic clutch control device 18. In this case, when the drive range is selected during limited differential operation, the shift stage is set to a speed stage higher than a first stage. When the other drive range is selected, the first speed stage is set.
