Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject method for controlling disease injuries of rice plant with saved labor, excellent in controlling effects and having high safety.
CONSTITUTION: The objective method for controlling disease injuries of rice plant with saved labor is characterized by spraying 2-[(4-chlorophenyl) methyl]-5-(1-methylethyl)-1-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-ylmethyl)-cyclopentanol on rice seeds just after sowing in a nursery box or before covering them with soil or irrigating the interior of seeded culture soil therewith and covering the rice seeds with soil. This method simultaneously exhibits high controlling effects on seed infectious disease injuries and damping-off soil disease injuries. The high controlling effects are especially produced in a fewer treating steps for controlling than those by a conventional seed disinfecting method without requiring post-treatment with an agent after dipping the rice seeds. Thereby, labor for the controlling operation is saved without causing problems of environmental pollution.
